Requiem For The 2012-13 Milwaukee Bucks

It is true that, as a Bucks fan, I feel some “soul-crushing despair” after our post-season lot. It is also true that as the regular season progressed, the Bucks looked both hopeless and resigned. So, this losing season in which we somehow made the playoffs because of the ridiculous disparity within the league, comes to a close. I’ll miss you, Milwaukee Bucks. I’m still a fan. Let’s get rid of Jim Boylan, Samuel Dalembert, Drew Gooden, Luc Mbah a Moute, Joel Przybilla, Ish Smith and move on.

Gustavo Ayon

I haven’t seen Ayon gelling here in Milwaukee, mostly because we don’t ever see him. He’s a good defender, which we could use. He’s an affordable asset to our frontcourt, I’d just like to see him out there more as if he’s really a member of the team. He certainly could have helped us this year, and I think he can do it next year too.

Marquis Daniels

Who doesn’t enjoy seeing this guy’s gnarly tattoos on the court? A player showing improvement and recovery after a devastating injury. I find him inspiring.

Mike Dunleavy

If I could play basketball, I’d want to play basketball like Mike Dunleavy. He doesn’t try to do anything we know he can’t do. There’s quite a bit of confusion right now about his role with the Bucks team. Shouldn’t he start? Is he actually that good of a shooter? One thing’s for sure, just like the rest of our crew, when he’s on he’s on and when he’s off it’s all over. Let’s figure out a role that Dunleavy can play on a consistent basis and then lock him in.

Monta Ellis

I really hope this emo little dude sticks around and that our dynamic duo can combine efforts both offensively and defensively to make teams scared. The potential is there. Ellis is a potent scorer but possibly a bad teammate. If one of the two have to go, I pick Ellis, but I think we give this dynamic time to develop and we’ll see a winning record.

John Henson

Let’s trade Henson out for a Marcin Gortat.

Ersan Ilyasova

Here’s another guy that we need to figure out. He deserves a place somewhere on our rotation. Let’s find out where that is and keep him there. He’ll struggle sometimes, but I’m under the impression that if a player definitively knows his role, he’ll be able to improve in those conditions while under less pressure to start or be the sixth man. Find him in the low-post and watch him shine. Patience.

Can we see if Ellis and Udoh have any chemistry left from Golden State and see if that helps us? Udoh should be better than he is. Get on it. I believe in you.
